The Federal Executive Council presided over by Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, in the absence of President Muhamamdu Buhari, did not swear in the two new ministers, Stephen Ocheni (Kogi) and Suleiman Hassan (Gombe) on Wednesday.

Recall that the Nigerian Senate had last week, screened and confirmed Ocheni and Hassan as ministers, but they were yet to be sworn-in.

We had earlier reported that Ocheni is to replace the late James Ocholi, who died over a year ago, while Hassan is to replace Mrs Amina Mohammed, who resigned to become the United Nations Deputy Secretary General.

The FEC meeting yesterday, which lasted about three hours, was attended by majority of the ministers and other cabinet members.
